Built by Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah in 1525, it stands as the epitome of Nawabi culture and grandeur. A Well Planned Architecture : The magnificent architecture of the Golconda fort is manifest in its acoustic system, the structural grandeur of the palaces and ingenious water supply system. The fort was famous for its diamond trade and the ‘Kohinoor’ diamond is said to have come from here. One is perplexed to see the meticulous details of the architecture and the fading gardens, which were once upon a time replete with sprawling lawns and playing fountains.This is where the priceless Kohinoor diamond was found. One of the famous forts of India, an added attraction here is an enchanting sound & light show in the evenings.

Shiv Khori is one of the important cave shrines of Jammu, which is famous for the natural formation of a shivalinga. The 150 metres long shrine is among the most respected cave shrines of Lord Shiva in Jammu.The major highlight of the shrine is the 4 feet svayambhu lingam. The revered figurine constantly baths in a milky lime fluid dripping from the ceiling. There are several natural impressions and images of Hindu deities on the cave walls. The cave consists of two chambers, the outer chamber and the inner chamber. The outer chamber has a capacity to accommodate a large number of people at a time. On the other hand, the inner chamber is small in space.Shiv Khori cave gains special importance during the festival of Mahashivratri. There is a big fair organised near this temple during Mahashivratri. During this time, large number of devotees throng the place so as to see the Shivalingam. In view of the increasing number of pilgrims during the Maha Shivratri Mela, the Shiv Khori Shrine Board has taken up a number of steps to provide more and more facilities to the devotees. The state government administration takes up this task every year to ensure the smooth conduct of the Yatra. The administration keeps a regular check on the langers operating during the festival days for ensuring better eating facilities to the pilgrims and proper security arrangements for the pilgrims coming to take part in Shiv Khori Festival.

Tourist Attractions of Nalanda, Bihar

NalandaNalanda is situated 90 Km from Patna, Bihar and it represents the rich ancient legacy of knowledge in Bihar. It is among the most famous tourist attractions of Bihar. Tourists from all over the world and specially Budhhists come to this place throughout the year and it is their most favoured tourist destination. Once it was the most prestigious centre of learning in Asia. Nalanda is one of the world’s oldest living cities. It is the place where Budha had often stayed. Nalanda is located in the eastern Indian state of Bihar. It is well known as the ancient centre of learning which has the remains of the great Nalanda University and several monasteries and temples. Both Lord Buddha and Mahavira visited this place and it remained a renowned learning centre till 12th century. Kings of Gupta, Kushan and Palva dynasties were the chief patrons of the centre, who built several monasteries and temples. The famous Chinese traveller Hieun Tsang studied here and his documents provide details about the university.The word ‘Nalanda’ has been derived from Na-Alam-Da, which means ‘insatiable in giving’, one of the names by which Lord Buddha was known. One of the major Buddhist pilgrimage sites, Nalanda is also known for the ruins of the world famous ancient learning centre. With the nearest habitation at the village of Bargaon, Nalanda is though now a deserted place, but still is very important to the history of Buddhism and Jainism (The Teerthankar Mahavira got moksha near Nalanda at Pawapuri). Hieun Tsang stayed here in the 7th century AD and he is the one who created the atmosphere for further studies in the region. He is the one who established the excellence of education system and practicing of monastic life.

Vijayawada is the third largest city of Andhra Pradesh. The main river that a flow there is river Krishna .Towards the northern bank of river Krishna the city of Vijayawada is strategically located charmingly and this river makes the city fully fertile.
